Just last week I showed you my pick of favourite Fall Trends
– in case you’ve missed it –
Trends are great because it tells us mere mortals what’s in style this season
it can be quite daunting to hit the shops with images like this in your mind…
Sorry Chanel, Christian and Michael!
You think you look like this…
Rocking your balaklava…
Instead you look like this!
So, here’s my interpretation of the top trends because without it you might scare some people!
Trend 1: HOT PINK
Yes, you can wear hot pink from head to toe
if you’re anti-pink just add a pop of hot pink to your wardrobe.
I’m obsessed with this floral blouse from Mr Price!
Wear it with hot pink lipstick of course!
Trend 2: THE BALACLAVA
Sorry to all the Fashion designers but I just CANNOT.
The Balaclava is the one trend I’m avoiding this season.
Loving this beanie from Forever New though!
Trend 3: BLING
Not sure you can rock this shiny trend?
Remember the golden rule: Play with accessories!
This high shine sneakers are from Woolworths and adds just a bit of bling.
Trend 4: SCARVES
Yes, designers are turning scarves into dresses and even suits –
but again not really practical.
Look out for pretty printed scarves to swoosh up a simple jean and jersey combo.
Trend 5: Sexy Suits
I know the trend is “sexy suiting” but imagine going to work in something like this?
Peek-a-Boob? Yes? No!
Rather opt for this preppy (and sexy) boyfriend blazer from CottonOn.
Wear it with your favourite skinny jeans (black or blue) or over a dress with tights and ankle boots.
Trend 6: STATEMENT TIGHTS (for baby)!
Like I said, this is a tricky trend because coloured tights are NOT for the fainthearted.
Rather stick to neutral tights (like black and navy) for Mommy
& go wild with prints for baby.
Loving this leopard print leggings from CottonOn Kids.
Hot Pink? Check.
Short dress? Check.
Can wear with tights? Check.
